It's common practice to release modules to the beta branch initially - otherwise we could be left with a stable branch even more broken than normal should something go awry. The Viggen was released to Open Beta back in January, and I'm fairly certain others were released in a similar manner before that. You haven't been "deceived", it's just unfortunate that you haven't been able to find the information you were after. The Hoggit subreddit was literally full of posts yesterday with speculations on specific release times.

Your example about the Ferrari is so far off the mark it's not even funny. The Harrier store page says it requires DCS World 1.5.8, which is currently only available on the Open Beta branch. We pre-ordered a Harrier which was sold as feature incomplete, and we have a Harrier which is feature incomplete. The difference here is you have to install a different (test) branch of the game to play it right now. I'm sorry you had a bad experience here, but it's not Razbam's fault, nor is it ED's -this happens when you buy into Early Access products.
I am quite new to the game and I have not been playing when a new plane was released. when I stayed up late waiting for the release I was waiting with 2 other experienced players waiting just like me. you know were all like big kids, excited, waiting for our new toy. when it doesn't come you get pissed off. I play on a laptop and my drive is full, it costs me $225 for 25 gig. if they were upfront about how it was going to be released I could have made an informed decision of when to buy and I would have known when I was going to get my toy. I have to disagree with you on the matter about fault. it was their fault for not stating the details in the email I received, offering the sale of the harrier. I bought the harrier immediately. I didn't go searching the web for any fine print. thanks for your time. can I just ask you. have you got the harrier and are now happily flying? ill take that as a yes. did it cost you hundreds of dollars? if it did, would you still be feeling the same?

About us

Formed in May 2016, the 16th AGR aims to have fun and fly with others that share a passion for aerial combat. Our members fly almost all the modules that DCS has to offer. We hold regular events with a variety of aircraft. If you are looking for an active squad, a good bunch of guys and fun while you're flying you have come to the right place. We are accepting new memberships, from people of all skill levels. Still new to DCS? That's fine, our experienced pilots will be happy to fly with you and show you the way in any aircraft you choose.
